Basically it's a shop that stocks a varied range of cheap and cheerful products, the majority of which cost £1. There are a few exceptions; some of the electrical goods have higher prices, depending on the item and manufacturer. And some of the top brand cleaning products (which are normally around £3 - £4 in the supermarkets) cost £2. They have also recently started stocking some items of clothing for just a few pounds each. Poundland is generally good for the type of shop it is, just don't expect high quality.
